Position: Structural Project Engineer
HIXSON is a nationally
recognized architecture/engineering/interiors firm providing
design and engineering services to industrial, retail and
corporate clients throughout North America. Located in
Cincinnati, we specialize in industrial processing
facilities, corporate office environments, retail and R&D
facilities.
Here is an opportunity to provide
technical leadership to an integrated team of architects,
engineers and project managers. As a member of the project
team, the structural project engineer manages all structural
engineering contributions to projects including scope
definition, design, specifications, client contact, contract
documents, cost estimating, shop drawing review and
construction coordination. Our Structural Department also
provides consulting services including investigative
reports, loading studies and evaluations of existing
structures. Additional opportunities for contribution
include mentoring and participating in department and
company improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
*
Experience in structural design and analysis and in project
leadership responsibilities
* Wide range of knowledge in
design of structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed
metal framing, deep foundations
* Bachelor’s degree in
structural engineering or civil engineering with emphasis on
structures
* PE or the ability to become registered
*
Competence in design/analysis software such as Ram software,
TEDDS, etc.
* Knowledge of CAD, proficiency not required
